People sculptures

fifth grade students made sculptures of people. They used some balls and cardboard scones to create the amateur. Next they covered their sculpture in plaster. following class they painted their sculpture with acrylic paint. In the next few classes they made clothes out of class and adding yarn for hair and accessories next they use clay to add different things to their  sculpture. 

chanukkah

5th grade students designed a Hanukkah dreidel.  on black paper they drew their design with glue then let it dry.  next class they used chalk pastels to make their project they needed to use neutral colors for the project or the background  and analogous colors for the other part.

Origami pictures

Grade students created origami pictures. I saw this project on another art blog when I find the post I will link it.

color wheel

Grade students created a 12 colored color wheel.  the used primary colors to mix all the different colors and shades that they would need. next they created their own pictures around the color wheel.  the students then used an app called perkulator to take pictures of their artwork. the frames were made using bottle caps buttons and gems.

Bag designing

Fifth grade students use sharpies and fabric markers to design a bag that they will then use in their class.

Masks

Fifth-graders looked at masks from around the world. Next with black sharpie they drew the outline for their mask in all the details and designs. Using watercolors they added complementary colors to their mask and the background.

Trees and fruit

The fifth-graders worked on making fruit for the holiday Tu B'shvat (The birthday of the trees) they used watercolors.

Hamsa

The fifth-grade students design their own Hamas (hand that symbolizes protection). They used Clay and glaze.
