Trees and flowers for Dot day

4.day the third-grade students painted paper and then use pastels to create trees and flowers and collage paper onto their project.

3D dots paper lanterns

For celebrating.day this year each grade will be working on a different project. The first grade students are making three dimensional dots. Which will then become lanterns. They started by using liquid water colors to paint their lanterns. Next they use paper and beads to add details to their lanterns.

Bag designing

Fifth grade students use sharpies and fabric markers to design a bag that they will then use in their class.

Pre-K self portrait

The pre-K students are starting off the school year by drawing themselves. We talked about shapes and lines and what is on your face. The students choose crayons and sharpies.

School Mural

I like to start off every school year with all the classes working together to create one Communal mural.

This year the subject of our mural is the Olympics. We looked at all the logos from the Olympics and we studied the artwork of Keith Herring. After looking at Keith Herring's artwork. We talk a bout line shapes colors compositions for the project.

Each student gets a posted note in a different color and needs to draw one of the Olympic sport logos. We used pencils and black thin and thick permanent markers.
